English students are getting crafty...

High school English students have been creating "real world" examples of literature. Ms. Wilder's seniors created shields that represent themselves and their families. This assignment is based upon the famous Knights of the Round Table found in E.H. White's classic The Once and Future King. Mr. Walz's sophomores read one of Edgar Allen Poe's creepiest stories, "The Masque of the Red Death." Then they created artifacts that represent important symbols from the story. Ms. Reid's Creative Writing and Communication class created "ransom poetry."
