AHS has partnered with the Ayers Foundation Trust to help provide additional resources to students- the Ayers counselor's role includes working with AHS counselors, faculty, and staff to help students identify options and support their pursuit of a postsecondary option best aligned with their unique interests, strengths, and needs. Some of the specific functions of the Ayers counselor include helping Seniors with college applications, navigating financial aid and scholarship applications, and providing support to and through college- college meaning universities, community colleges, TCATs, military, and other programs that offer certifications benefiting those entering the workforce.
Emma Brasher is the College Access Counselor at Adamsville High School. Emma taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Lexington High School for 6 years. She joined the Ayers Foundation Trust in May 2022.
Emma is from Drummonds, TN. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2016, and earned a Masters in Leadership and Public Service from Lipscomb University in 2023.
Emma enjoys playing guitar and spending time with her husband Dakota and her 4 year old son, Ben.
